In honour of Stan Lee visiting Supanova in Brisbane this year, Qld Body Artists Society focused on body painting Marvel characters on both days of the popular convention. As usual our stand drew a lot of attention and our models patiently posed for many photo requests.

Qld Body Artists Society paints at Bloomhill Cancer Care fundraising event. A lot of fun was had with an audience that may not usually come this close and personal to body painted models.
As part of the Ipswich festival Art Beat showcases arts and crafts to the public, and once again Qld Body Artists added their bit of colour to the event. Once the stalls are packed up a street parade, lit with colourful lanterns provides the perfect stage for our models to bring their characters to life.
The last Zombie Walk in Brisbane CBD (as far as we know). It was a sad and quiet affair, but members of Qld Body Artists Society were there to zombify anyone who wanted it.
This year the Qld Body Artists’ stand was back at the Brisbane Convention Centre. Supanova is our artists’ (and definitely models too) favourite playground. Body painting all our favourite characters.

QBAS artists and models paiting uo a storm at the Cooroy Fusion Festival 2016.
The QBAS stand at Supanova Brisbane drew plenty of attention as our artists transformed models into characters during their live body painting demonstrations. It didn’t take long before our models wrecked a fair bit of havoc once they were released among the public.
Yesterday some of our artists contributed to the colour of Arts in the Park at Logan River Parklands. Thanks to Logan City Council for inviting us to this great family event on Father’s Day.
Our cheerful artists represented QBAS at Fusion Festival in Cooroy. A brilliant, sunny day for the whole family, and our human canvases to add to the colour of the day.
We entertained the public with live demonstration of body painting, then our models mingled with people and had lots of photos taken. Even the Ipswich Major joined in the fun. In the evening we joined the lantern parade, a lovely way to end a very colourful day.
